LEANN GARMS, BBL Publishing A 30-year veteran of public relations, trained in Journalism, Leann loves a great story. Whether it’s a book, a nonprofit cause or a new business venture, she uncovers the unique story that motivates the media and the market to pay attention. Her clients have included authors, speakers, film festivals, theaters and environmental nonprofits who have been featured in both local and national radio, TV and print including Larry King LiveCNN, CNBC Power LunchSpirituality & Health, Biography Magazine, Good Morning Texas, Great Day Houston, Good Morning San Diego, The Bob & Tom Show, KTLA Morning Show, and over 1500 radio and TV shows nationwide, and print as far as India.

A serial entrepreneur, Leann has owned her own public relations firm, a nonprofit consulting firm, and most recently formed the Book PR and Marketing firm, Build.Buzz.Launch. Media to help authors publish and market their work. After seeing a need to help authors navigate the paths to publishing, BBL Publishing was launched in July of 2014. This hybrid publishing imprint of BBL Media publishes and markets a select handful of titles in the Health, Wellness and Spirituality genres. Now, Leann gets to read great stories every day and help tell the world about them.

Leann is a Trainer for The Next Bestseller Workshop(TM), New York, NY., and is a frequent speaker at writers and publishers’ conferences including the 805 Writer’s Conference, Women In Publishing Summit, and the Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA) PubU. Presentations include “Find Your Path to Publishing”, “PR, Publicity and Press Kits: Building Buzz for Your Book”, “Three Paths to Publishing – Which one is right for you?”, and “Book Publicity 101”. She’s a member of Publishers & Writers of San Diego, Memoir Writers Association of America, Independent Book Publishers Association, and North County Philanthropy Council, San Diego, and currently serves as Vice President of Oceanside Theatre Company.
